Organic Hemp Extraction's extracts are produced using pharmaceutical-grade ethanol through a tightly controlled, quantitatively-defined and fractional distillation method based on scientific and chemical engineering principles. Each step of the extraction process is precisely defined and meticulously measured according  to verified practices and strictly followed policies. In addition each production run of extractions are independently tested at the industry’s most reputable laboratories for full cannabinoid profile. These tests all insure that our oils are 100% free of pesticides, residual solvents, microbial contamination, heavy metals and aflatoxins. While also insuring the THC level in any shipped oil stays below the .3% maximum THC level as allowed by the State of Colorado and the Federal government.

Winterization

• Winterization removes impurities – specifically plant lipids and waxes. [Lower Overall Yield]

 

Short Path Distillation of Crude extract into Cannabinoid distillate [Lower Overall Yield]

• Short Path Distillation is a technique that creates a distillate using a method of thermal evaporation across a short distance. The SPD process is for refining products with precise boiling points, in this example; cannabis. Cannabis distillation is the process required to extract high potency cannabinoids).

CBD Crystalline Isolation

​

• The CBD Crystalline purification process is ISO-9001 certified and begins with a proprietary, eco-friendly Ethanol extraction. The hemp oil from the extraction is then winterized to remove the fats and lipids. After winterization, the next step is to remove the unwanted plant material with heptane and short path distillation. The oil then process is decarboxylated prior to going into the final phase of our proprietary CBD Crystal processing.
